No increase in taxes to the Council of Health Professions, United Kingdom

The health profession Council (HPC) has announced that there will be no increase in any of his fees for the next fiscal year starting April 2011. The fee applies to all 215,000 professionals regulated by the HPC and those who seek to join the register. The annual fee was last increased in April 2009 to 76 and remained unchanged for more than three years, although inflation is good news for members.- To help spread the cost, the fee may be paid by direct debit on the recording cycle of two years

- The annual fee will remain at 76 or 152 cycles per year for two years registration

- The registrants may renew their membership and pay taxes online

‘It ‘very important that the HPC will continue to ensure economic efficiency and professional regulation especially in hard-to-day economic climate. In recent years we have continued to invest in new systems and processes, such as the renewal of the online registration and the arrangement with the consent of fitness practice cases, both of which allowed us to control our costs.
